This year's journey was to the Canadian province of Newfoundland & Labrador. We drove our pickup and took the ferry across from northern Nova Scotia to Channel Port aux Basques on the southern coast of Newfoundland.

We've constructed a small camper on the back of our truck. We call it the "chicken coop on wheels" after a Russian fairy tale about an enchanted fowl's hut that can sprout legs and carry people off to magical lands. It is, however, also a tight fit to get the two of us in there and so rather like a chicken coop in that sense too. But it is nice and snug on a rainy or buggy night.

You can pick and choose among the titles in the index below by using the "Return to Index" link at the bottom of each page or by using the "Back" function on your browser. Or you can view the whole lot by using the "Next Page" link, also at the bottom of each page.

Enjoy, Alice & Dennis
