Day 13: National Canyon

national canyon

National Canyon is deeply incised into the upland plateau and is one of the more spectacular of the slot canyons along the river. You can see the rock debris filling the bottom of the canyon. The rock debris moves with every flash flood. The guides pointed out a distinctive boulder about the size of a automobile van that had moved down the canyon several hundred feet during the course of the past summer.
