The pisco sour (piscosour in Spanish) is the national drink of Chile. It is made from a sour brandy (pisco), lemon juice, sugar, eggwhite, and a little bit of water. It is especially memorable when served over "millenium ice" (ice from a glacier).
We spent almost six weeks in Chile and could have happily spent another six. And we didn't even see most of the country. We found the countryside beautiful and the people gracious and hospitable. Touring on your own is always an adventure, but is very practical in Chile. The roads were good and we never had any more concerns about security than we would have had in the United States. We hope to return someday.
And so we say, "Saludos a Chile !!!"
