Camping, Parque Nacional Pali Aike

campground

On the day we went to Pali Aike the sun began to go down and the light was a beautiful golden color and we were a long way away from any place to stay. The Guardaparque said that it was all right for us to stay in the campground even though it wasn't officially open.

We didn't have a tent or any cooking gear but we did have our sleeping bags. So after a cold supper we bundled up in the car and tilted the seats way back. The wind howled all night long and the temperature was down around freezing, but surprisingly I did manage to get a fair amount of sleep.
