We stayed three nights in the preserve, having rented the small cabin above. You have to bring in your own food but there is a minimal communal kitchen available.
We of course, did not see any jaguars. The are very shy and are mostly nocturnal, so this sculpture was as close as we came.
There were lots of birds around, many of which could be seen while sitting on the porch of our cabin. Among my favorites were a laughing falcon and the crested guans - but then there was also the crimson collared tanager, the violaceous trogon, the red rumped tanager, the red crowned ant tanagers, the ...... and so on.
