Pompom Head, Cephalipterum drummondi

pompoms

In the central portion of western Australia wildflowers blanket the bush during the spring. It is comparable to the flush of spring annuals in the deserts of the American southwest. There are many different species involved; one of the most showy was these pompom heads, myriads of which can blanket the ground as far as the eye can see.
